The Texas Rangers Museum and the Western Art Show and Sale, featuring over 400 paintings and sculptures by 70 internationally recognized artists will be open to the public from Saturday, February 5 through Sunday, February 13, 2005.
There will be fine western art hanging on the walls of the Texas Pioneer Museum on February 4th, when the Alamo Kiwanis Charities Club kicks off the forty-second annual Western Art Show and Sale with a preview party, sale and silent auction.
The event traditionally held in concurrence with the local rodeo season, attracts both local and national artists from across the country who display their artwork, including paintings, bronzes and sculptures.

Wilson Eduardo Alvarez (born March 24, 1970 in Maracaibo, Zulia State, Venezuela) is a former Major League Baseball left-handed pitcher who played in 13 seasons for the Texas Rangers (1989), Chicago White Sox (1991-1997), San Francisco Giants (1997), Tampa Bay Devil Rays (1998-2002) and Los Angeles Dodgers (2003-2005).
Acquired from the Rangers two years before, Alvarez provided one of the biggest highlights in the Chicago season by pitching a no-hitter against the Baltimore Orioles at Memorial Stadium, only his second major league start.
That season, Alvarez won 15 games but led the league with 122 walks.
