Defender Tim Weaver, who teamed with Brown on the Seals’ backline, was picked third overall by the San Jose Clash, while forward Marquis White, who tallied goals in the Seals’ wins over the Kansas City Wizards and San Jose in the 1997 U.S. Open Cup, was chosen fourth overall by the Colorado Rapids.
Aunger (the only international player selected in the supplemental draft), Wilson, Hunjak and Ward each spent significant time during Major League Soccer’s first two season on a roster.
