The division is believed to be comprised of the 55th, 56th and 57th Regiments.

After the war, the 1st Air Division was revived twice as a B-29 command: first in Okinawa as a mobile combat strike force from 7 June 1946 until 1 December 1948; and later as a meteorological survey command assigned to SAC from 1 July 1954 until 20 May 1956.
The division was redesignated as the 12th Strategic Missile Division in 1971 and as the 12th Air Division in 1973.
The 19th was redesignated the 19th Air Division, Bombardment, in April 1948 and inactivated on 27 June 1949.

With the opening of the Battle of Messines on 7 June 1917 the 19th Division was among the first to advance in the wake of the explosion of 19 mines which signified the start of the attack at 3.10am.
The memorial is sited at the crossroads which the division successfully reached within five hours of the start of the attack, which included the taking of the village of Oosttaverne nearby.

The Hawaiian Division was established at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, on 1 March 1921, to provide land defense of the territory strategically located at “the cross-roads of the Pacific”.
The Division remained on a high alert status often scrambling in full combat gear and assuming defensive positions as the wail of the alert sirens and squawk boxes sounded in the strategically scattered compounds.
Division and other NATO units prevented the break out of another war just 16 short years after the end of World War II, and only 8 years after the fragile "cease-fire" agreement in Korea.

During the Second Balkan War in 1913 he became the chief of staff of the army in the Gallipoli Peninsula, until posted as military attaché at the Turkish embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Kemal returned to Gallipoli in 1915 as commander of the 19th Division, the main reserve of the Turkish Fifth Army, and was thus on hand to oppose the ANZAC landing in April.
His superb grasp of strategy and ability to inspire his troops by his reckless bravery in action boosted Turkish morale and proved decisive in thwarting allied plans.
