1st Commando Regiment is a mixed regular and reservist commando regiment of the Australian Army.
The commando companies are made up of a headquarters, two commando platoons, a reconnaissance platoon, a training platoon and integral combat service support elements.
The term Commando is derived from the South African/Dutch word used by the Boers identifying their irregular sized raiding forces employed against the British during the South African Wars.

The Polish Army's 1st Special Commando Regiment (Polish: 1 Pulk Specjalny Komandosów, 1 PSK) is one of the three special operations forces currently operating within the Polish military's structure.
The Regiment, along with the GROM Counter-Terrorism unit and the Navy's GSP (“Formoza”) combat diver unit, is slated to fall under a newly-proposed Polish special operations command.
The regiment has been quite active over the last few years with troops being deployed to support NATO operations in the Republic of Macedoniaa during the Kosovo conflict.

Also, consider the likely theatre of operation's that the ADF would hvae to fight in a war with Indo, on many islands, in the jungle, this sort of fighting would be better suited to and better carried out by SF units.
Regarding ‘levels’ of SF units, the current Commando - SASR recruiting scheme should be introduced service wide with a limited ‘tenure’ to be served with the Commando’s before progressing to the SASR.
The war on terror is set to continue for many years to come and I envisage that the ‘strike/raiding’ capabilities of the Commando’s will be a handy asset for the government should it continue with ‘niche’ force contributions to larger coalition operations.

On Saturday 3rd of April, early in the morning I'll be jumping off the Sydney Harbour Bridge to raise money for the Spinal Unit of the Royal North Shore Hospital.
More specifically I'll be abseiling down two faces of the south pylon (50 and 100 metres) with soldiers from the 1st Commando Regiment to raise money for the Spinal Unit of the Royal North Shore Hospital.
I am hoping to raise as much money as possible for this very worthy cause by putting myself in potential danger.

The only thing I would add to Australia is if you're going to add 3RAR (Para) as a special forces unit then you should include, A Battery, Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery as they are a para qualified Artillery Battery.
The special forces within the Turkish Armed Forces are one of the finest among their counterparts throughout the world.
Despite the fact that there are many other special operations commando units, such as the Mountain Commando Brigades, Gendarmerie Commandos and Marine Corps, within the Turkish Armed Forces, they do not fall under the definition/classification of modern day special forces.
