BCE shares may be falling because some investors were expecting the media unit to be sold as IPO of common shares or as income trust, said Rick Hutcheon, chief investment officer of RKH Financial, which runs the equivalent of $171 million in Toronto, including BCE.

Canada's media-ownership landscape is in for a major reshaping with news that BCE Inc. is selling off a huge chunk of its subsidiary Bell Globemedia to Torstar Corp. and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan.
Once the proposed deal is done, BCE's stake in the media company will have dropped from 68.5 per cent to just 20 per cent.
The deal, which is expected to close in the third quarter of 2006, requires the regulatory approval of the federal competition bureau and the CRTC.

 Stone Pages Archaeo News: 20,000 BCE human footprints found in Australia
Hundreds of human footprints dating back to about 20,000 BCE - the oldest in Australia and the largest collection of its kind in the world - have been discovered in Mungo National Park in western NSW.
They were left by children, adolescents and adults at the height of the last ice age as they ran and walked across a moist clay area near the Willandra Lakes.
Some of the people appeared to be hunting, with emu and kangaroo footprints also in the area and what appeared to be spear holes in the ground, they said.
