Abortion Incidence and Services in the United States in 2000
Between 1996 and 2000, the number of providers grew in nine states and fell in 38 and the District of Columbia; in the remaining three states, the number of providers did not change (Table 3).
And while the number of providers decreased in both Kansas and Missouri from 1996 to 2000, a shift in service provision within the Kansas City area from Missouri to Kansas contributed to a sizable decrease in the abortion rate in Missouri and an increased rate in Kansas, although the same population was probably being served.
During that period, one-third of all abortion providers in the 2000 provider universe performed at least one early medical abortion—that is, an abortion in the first trimester using mifepristone or methotrexate (Table 6); medical abortions with mifepristone and methotrexate are always prescribed with misoprostol.

In 2000, priests numbered 405,178, of these 265,781 were diocesan and 139,397 religious, with a decrease of 3.75% in 1978, the result of a decrease of 12.04% among the diocesan clergy and an increase of 1.26% among religious priests.
With regard to the number of Catholics per priest, the worldwide trend cannot but increase, because of the differential of demographic growth among the various zones: thus there has been an increase from 1,797 to 2,215 and 2,579 respectively for the years 1978, 1988 and 2000.
We therefore realize that this number calculated per million Catholics varies considerably from continent to continent and in the three years considered: in particular, in 2000 the number of candidates to the priesthood went from 242 per million Catholics in Asia, to 157 in Africa, 113 in Oceania, 96 in Europe, and 70 in America.

A number base is a way of representing numbers, using a certain amount of possible symbols per digit.
Binary numbers are written in Blitz with a percent symbol in front of them, and obviously all the bits in the number must be a '0' or a '1'.
Note that you do not need to put in the leading '0's (that number would really be %00110011) but it might help the readability of your source if you put in the full amount of bits.

Base 2 numbers are an interesting case, since the digital root of a binary number is 1 if there are an odd number of 1 digits and 0 if there are an even number.
The number you get by subtracting one original number from the other must be evenly divisible by nine, and so will the sum of its digits.

In developing the project, Hutton and her colleagues conducted interviews with a number of families, and she was struck by how eager many were to discuss the dying of their children.
This is attributable to several factors, including the relatively small numbers of children in comparison to the adult population, the tremendous diversity of childhood illnesses likely to end in premature death, and the lack of familiarity with the disease course in children of different ages and development.
