		It's an album true to the vision Jack and Meg White crafted on their first two also-excellent LPs, but with enough spit and polish to be presentable to folks outside of the Detroit garage scene.
		As strong as the melodies, lyrics, and moods of his uniquely old-yet-new folk/country/jazz/pop songs are, his albums achieve another level of strength by the way the songs hold together and the way that together they explore a particular theme in depth.
		Concept albums are always a hit or miss experience, as bands try to balance music and storyline, and more often than not, it all becomes a garbled mess.

		The album was well-received by most critics, if not on quite the same level as Dre's revolutionary debut The Chronic.
		He also wrote the song "The Message," the only non-Dr. Dre-produced song on the album (done by Lord Finesse), which Dre dedicated to his late brother Tyrece Young, who was killed in a gangfight.
		Most recently, 2001 has re-entered in the UK Top 40 RandB albums peaking at #21 (highest entry, the week before it was #24) in March 2006.

		When all is said and done, each of the five Weezer albums have moments and songs worthy of praise, but arguably no Weezer record is as much fun as the Green Album.

		The Chronic was a milestone album that has yet to be topped plus none of his guest features busted sloppy rhymes but on this on Hittman and Ms Roq bring this album down a star.
