		When MLS contracted by two a month ago and held those allocation and dispersal drafts (now known as the New England Project), I got the feeling teams pretty much set up shop for the 2002 season, dealing what they had to deal, taking their best shots right there.
		Not when so many in MLS (in the league offices, in the front offices of the two Florida clubs, and on the playing field) have lost their jobs in the past month.
		It's pretty clear now that the teams in MLS with salary cap problems are those who've built their core of American players over the years.

		He was named MLS Defender of the Year and earned a place in the MLS Best XI, as well as winning a second MLS title.

		Upon his graduation, Klein was selected fourth overall by the Kansas City Wizards in the 1998 MLS College Draft.
		Klein has been an equally important part of the Wizards midfield for the last four years, although his 2004 campaign was cut short by a torn ACL.

		Llamosa was subsequently picked up by D.C. United in the 1997 MLS Supplemental Draft, and soon earned a starting spot on the team, finishing the season with 20 starts in 25 games played, while helping the team to a second consecutive MLS Cup.
		After the Fusion folded at the end of 2001, Llamosa was selected 5th overall in the 2002 MLS Allocation Draft by the New England Revolution.

		Since the beginning of the second season, dedicated fans of MLS that wanted to follow MLS were left to make up the rulebook when following the progress of building an MLS team.
		At least twice a year I have written not-so-diplomatically written letters to the League office pleading for the publication of rules and procedures governing how teams sign, keep, trade, replace, and cut their players.
		The league prefers “discovery option players” over allocations, but there is a limit to the number of discovery option players you can have on your roster.
