The 2007 NBA Draft is June 28 in the theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
On June 19 the final, official NBA Draft early entry list was released, naming underclassmen who have declared themselves eligible for the NBA Draft as well as players who had declared early entry but have withdrawn.
The NBA Draft, which happens once a year (in June), is when NBA teams select new players (from college, high school and outside of the country) who will enter the NBA for the first time.

Many draft scribes considered Butler to be the steal of the draft at #10.
Most NBA scribes felt that he had a good chance to be a late first round draft pick.

When the NBA draft first started in 1947, it was based on territorial picks.
In 1980, the draft was reduced to 10 rounds; in 1985 it was reduced to 7 rounds; in 1988 the draft shrunk to just 3 rounds, and 1989 it was reduced to just 2 rounds.
And while the NBA doesn't officially consider some of these guys "international" players, there's no doubt that they really are, since they are citizens of foreign countries who simply attended college here (e.g., Dan Gadzuric, Chris Christofferson, the Savovic brothers, etc).
