Never played at the Black (actually had a time there once but severely sprained my ankle), but many I know that have said that even before it was set up for the open the rough was a.5-1 stroke penalty.
Cink's my favorite player, and does better as the winning score gets closer and closer to par (he doesn't go too low, and he doesn't go too high).
