		INDIANAPOLIS, Friday, June 3, 2005 – ABC Sports’ live broadcast of the 89th Indianapolis 500 on May 29 drew a national rating nearly 60 percent higher than the 2004 race and the highest rating for the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” since 1996, according to figures released June 3.
		Roth, a native of Toronto, is a veteran of the Menards Infiniti Pro Series, and finished 24th in the Indianapolis 500 as a rookie in 2004.
		INDIANAPOLIS, Friday, April 15, 2005 – Art Cross, the first-ever Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year in 1952 and a runner-up finisher in the 1953 race to Bill Vukovich, died April 15 in La Porte, Ind. He was 87.

		His 26th and final champ-car victory came April 24, 1966, at Trenton, N.J. At the time of his retirement, Ward was the only driver to be in the top 10 of all Indianapolis 500 statistics.
		After the 1960 Indianapolis 500, Ward suggested to legendary Formula One team owner John Cooper and to World Champion Jack Brabham, with whom he had become friends, to try a rear-engine car at the Speedway.
		Vukovich was leading in 1955 when the front axle on Ward's car snapped, and in the ensuing melee Vukovich's car hit Ward's and catapulted over the wall.
