My first experience of stitching, at eight years old, was much the same, but this time it was a row of hedgehogs I sewed on my bed-sheets after my mother taught me how to embroider while I was cooped up with the flu.
Oddly, my paintings are getting bigger but my constructions are getting smaller, crossing from craft to art and taking on personalities of their own.
