We of course used to call it football, but then we started saying 'socceeer' to take the piss out of the unitiated americans (sorry) and now I always call it 'soccer' but ironically of course...
It is hard in a country where it has been known as soccer forever and when u say lets play football people think of rugby, or AFL, or league but when it comes down to it the game is football.
