Boston, MA (November 10, 2005) — Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced today the 2006 Major League Lacrosse All-Star game will take place on July 6, 2006 at 7:30PM ET at Boston University's Nickerson Field according to MLL Commissioner David Gross.
The MLL and US Lacrosse partnered to create the format for this season's All-Star game, pitting the MLL All-Stars against the United States National Team.
The game will be a final tune-up for the U.S. Team before they play in the 2006 International Lacrosse Federation World Championship.

 Boston Business Journal: Lacrosse league inks deal with Anschutz for L.A. team - 2005-03-09
Major League Lacrosse said it would expand its reach to the West Coast starting in the 2006 season with a team based in Los Angeles.
MLL Commissioner David Gross said the L.A. team would be operated by the Anschutz Entertainment Group Inc. and would play at the Home Depot Center on the campus of the California State University, Dominguez Hills.
The plan is for all four western teams to join the league when play begins on May 20, 2006, as the league seeks to diversify beyond the sport's traditional eastern seaboard base.
