U2 Feedback - English Football Hooligans
Russian football fans have reportedly gone on the rampage following the country's World Cup defeat, killing one man and injuring several others.
Some fans were shown on TV pissed off their heads, its hard to put my finger on it, but you could tell this was different to the average fan who'd had one two many.
08:58 PM I doubt if your average English football hooligan has the means to travel to Japan for the World Cup.

The man also yelled "Russian football without Koloskov," a reference to Russian Football Union president Vyacheslav Koloskov, who was also hit in the juice attack.
Russia head coach Georgy Yartsev kept his job Tuesday after a woeful showing at Euro 2004, but suffered the indignity of having orange juice thrown at him in protest, Russian media reported.
At an earlier closed-door meeting, the RFU backed Yartsev to continue his contract, which runs to 2006.

Still, when the 49-year-old, who led Latvia to the finals of UEFA EURO 2004™, accepted the offer to coach former Russian champions Spartak, it was a great loss to Latvian football, and the Latvian Football Federation (LFF) were left with the seemingly impossible task of finding a replacement for him.
Every football fan in the country has long been resigned to the fact that his talents are too great for anything Latvian clubs or the national team can offer.
For Starkovs made it a major condition of his contract that he would be allowed to stay in charge of the Latvian national side until the end of 2004, and lead his team through their first five 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

After the match, many newspapers referred to the 'Russian linesman' who awarded the goal, as Azerbaijan was still part of the Soviet Union at the time, and the nickname stuck to the point where his real name is all but forgotten.
