Suzuki and John Hopkins have agreed to enter into a new two-year contract, which will see MotoGP& youngest rider racing the ever-improving Suzuki GSV-R in the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
John Hopkins qualified his Suzuki GSV-R in eighth place for tomorrow’s Gauloises Grand Prix Ceske Republiky while team-mate Kenny Roberts Jr was only able to complete five laps during qualifying practice due to poor health.
Mat Mladin headed a Yoshimura Suzuki one-two-three for the fourth time this season at the opening AMA Superbike double-header at Virginia International Raceway.

 MotorSport Vision News :: World Superbikes get Brands Hatch date
Circuit owners MotorSport Vision have completed a deal with WSB organisers FG Sport which will see the premier world motorcycle racing series return to the 2.4-mile Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit until at least 2007.
To help celebrate the new agreement, current World Superbike Champion James Toseland will be the guest of honour at the MRO Powerbike Tour season finale at Brands this Sunday (Oct 24) as MSVs salute to the British hero.
World Superbikes has produced some quite brilliant racing this year and is clearly going to be even stronger in 2005."

In 2005 it was announced that from the 2007 season onwards, the total capacity of the MotoGP class machines will be restricted to 800cc.
In 2007, the MotoGP class will have its maximum engine displacement capacity reduced to 800cc, ostensibly for safety reasons.
MotoGP bikes are permitted to have engines with 3 to 6 cylinders, and have variable weight limits depending on the number of cylinders.
