Whilst their partnership with the Sauber Petronas Formula One team is coming to a close at the end of this year, Credit Suisse is keen to emphasize that they will continue to support BMW who announced last June that they will acquire the majority stakes of the Sauber team per January 1, 2006.
The bank has signed a contract with the new team as an official partner from 2006 to 2008.

In a very constructive meeting of the Formula One Technical Working Group in Monza on Sunday, September 12, 2004, the Formula One Technical Directors unanimously agreed to propose the following measures to the Formula One Commission and the World Motor Sport Council for introduction from the beginning of the 2005 season.
Apparently this will be paid from 2008 together with money from 2004 to 2007 under a formula with compound interest over the five years from 2008 to 2012.
The Teams much regret that the American public were unable to enjoy a race involving all ten Formula One teams, and would like to express their thanks to the many fans who have communicated their support for the stance taken by the Teams and by Michelin on grounds of safety.

CLERMONT-FERRAND, France — Michelin, which has been supplying racing tires to Formula One since 2001, said on Wednesday it will pull out from the international series after next year's season, leaving Bridgestone as the sport's only tire supplier for 2007.
The French tire supplier's withdrawal is in protest to F1's plan to choose one tire supplier and to require teams to use same-spec tires beginning in 2008.
