A number of divergent dates ranging from 814 to 729 BC are given for the foundation of Rome in the earliest historians of the late third and second centuries BC.
The equation of the sack of Rome with the Olympiad equivalent to 387/6 BC was clearly not made on the basis of the Roman fasti.
Between the consular year traditionally reckoned as equivalent to 301 BC and the sack there are only 81 eponymous years, leaving a shortfall of 5 years "missing." One year was picked up on the assumption that there was a year of anarchy during the troubles of the Sextian-Licinian tribunate.

Sirius's heliacal rising for Memphis was according to the latest calculation (Neugebauer's Hilfstafeln) from 3160 to 2640 BC on the 17th July, from 1420 to 1050 on the 18th, and from 230 BC to AD 20 on the 19th July, varying between two consecutive days during the intervals.
It was on the 10th day of this month in the year 522 BC that (according to the Behistun inscription, i, 55) the Magian usurper Gaumata was killed by Darius and his associates, and his illegitimate rule was overthrown.
It is a curious fact that many of the feasts connected with, and owing their origin to, the solar seasons and astronomical points of the year, have been transferred to the vague year, being detached from the tropic or fixed solar year, and attached to the civil year.

 666man.net - Why 457 B.C is Correct: 444 B.C Arguments
Another argument they use in their favor, according to one web site, is that most cultures supposedly used a 360-day year until about the seventh century B.C, after which most of them switched to a 365-day year.
Their proposed answer is that the prophetic years are to be measured using a 360-day year, the same as the number of days in the year used to count the number of years in bible prophecy (in Revelation 12 and 13).
First that those who believe in the 444 B.C. starting date cannot use solar years for their calculations, and that those who believe in the 457 BC starting date cannot use 360-day years either.

The second person referred to as Cainan, "the son" of Arphaxad, and also the father of Shelah in the third chapter of Luke's gospel would have lived after the Flood in Noah's time, because Arphaxad was born within two years after the Flood (circa 2422 BC when his father, Shem, was 100 years old).
There was Shelah (circa 2307 BC to 1874 BC) - son of Arphaxad ; grandson of Shem, and great-grandson of Noah.
And there was Shelah - the youngest son of Judah (Judah was circa 1805BC to 1676 BC - so Shelah was born between these dates), by the daughter of Shua the Canaanite; grandson of Jacob, and great grandson of Isaac, and great-great-grandson of Abraham.

This was the basis of the Julian calendar, introduced by Julius Caesar in 46 B.C. In this case the calendar year is longer than the tropical year by about 0.0078 days.
However, around 10 BC, it was found that the priests in charge of computing the calendar had been adding leap years every three years instead of the four decreed by Caesar (Vardi 1991, p.
Leap years were therefore 45 BC, 42 BC, 39 BC, 36 BC, 33 BC, 30 BC, 27 BC, 24 BC, 21 BC, 18 BC, 15 BC, 12 BC, 9 BC, 8 AD, 12 AD, and every fourth year thereafter (Tøndering), until the Gregorian calendar was introduced (resulting in skipping three out of every four centuries).

It is known to scholars as that of the Maya of Central America, whose peoples are said to have flourished in the northern areas of that region from before 1000 BC to about 1000 AD.
They know that for the Maya chroniclers this date represented a commencement point in time-reckoning of such awesome magnitude that it was central to all else in subsequent Maya history; but they don't know what it meant or why it was so important to the latter.
But, in view of the other similarities, its use by the latter as a date of the highest religious importance to their race, as well as its close coincidence with 3102 BC, a date of tremendous spiritual significance to the Brahmans and other orthodox Hindus, is rather amazing.

The 360-days Bible Prophecy Calendar is the most accurate of all calendars!
Let us say that 1260,000 days after the tabernacle was set up in Nisan 1, 1445 BC (i.e., 1260 x 1000 days, or 3,500 years of unadjusted prophetic), it is announced to the world that construction of the temple will begin "in a few months," it is slated to start March 1st, 2006 BC.
Thus, 1446 BC (exodus), + 4000 years = AD 2555, which is 1260 + 1260 years from AD 35; 1260 + 1290 years from AD 5, and 1290 x 2 from 26 BC (i.e., "mirror" of AD 26).
The exodus of 1446 BC (and thus the start of the New Calendar, system at the birth of the nation of Israel), + 4 x 360 days-of-years = 6 BC (4 x 360 + 1,440).

King Mentuhotep IV (1997-1991 BC) of Dynasty XI (Middle Kingdom) (11), and King Psamtik II (595-589 BC) of the XXVI Dynasty (Saitic Period) (12) celebrated jubilees in their short reigns of 6 years.
Although King Niuserre (2453-2422 BC) of Dynasty V reigned for about 30 years, I doubt the jubilee was traditional and I do believe it was related to a solar eclipse.
This shows that the advent of Dynasty IV was in 2625 BC, with a margin of error of only a few years.

 THE OLD KINGDOM
This period is also known as "the age of the pyramid builders" as it was during this phase that most of the royal pyramid complexes and private mastaba tombs of the Memphite necropolis were built.
The wealth that the king bestowed on his nobles not only ran down his own treasury, but also benefited their status to the detriment of his.
At the same time, heavy demands of Egypt's foreign interests further hastened the political collapse, and with the passing of the 6th Dynasty in around 2181 BC, the Old Kingdom as such, came to an end.

Khasekhemwy Second Dynasty Pharaohs Chronology by Astronomy Tropical Solar Year Intercalation
However, the Pharaohs were in 3117 BC not yet aware of the true 365.2422-day length of the true tropical year, which even we today generally round to 365.25 days for leap year intercalation every 4 years.
Using their 365-day calender, the Pharaohs would soon have noticed that the Seasons did not keep time with this 365-day figure and that a calendric correction had to be made as the centuries passed.
Hence, according to this analysis, it could be argued that the Old Kingdom began on December 25, 3117 BC and ended 480 + 480 years (960 years) later, i.e.
