The landing at "V" Beach, in the early morning of the 25th April, 1915, was to be made by boats containing three companies of the first Royal Dublin Fusiliers, followed by the collier "River Clyde" with the rest of the Dublins, the first Royal Munster Fusiliers, half the second Hampshire Regiment, and other troops.
The place was very strongly fortified, and during the 25th the landing was partially carried out at the cost of very heavy casualties.
The unnamed graves are 480 in number, but special memorials are erected to 196 officers and men (nearly all belonging to the units which landed on the 25th April), known or believed to be buried among them.

Plugge's Plateau Cemetery is on the north-west corner of the Plateau.The pathway leading to the cemetery is approximately 750 metres from the main road, up a very steep track.
Plugge's Plateau was captured by the 3rd Australian Infantry Brigade on 25 April and named later from the commander of Auckland Battalion, Colonel A Plugge, CMG, whose headquarters were there.

25th April, night dive near Amos Rock, North Tubbataha.
The Moray Eel is watching something I had not yet spotted - a somersaulting manta ray (feeding on plankton).
Throughout Tubbataha the corals were in good condition except for a couple of patches that had been "dynamite fished." Recently, 4 chinese boats had been intercepted in the area and the crews put in jail.

On April 28th, Jon will hold a CD release party and concert at Le Bar Bat in New York City with Alex Budman (tenor saxophone), guitarist Joe Berger and Ray Grappone (drums).
All events were attended by large crowds, which as always flocked around the legendary Super VI Scandalli accordion, but demonstrated great interest also for the new MIDI instrument by SEM, the Ciao (one of the easiest models ever conceived), as well as for the new line of diatonic instruments by Paolo Soprani.

26th April 2004 01:59:22 PM the easiest way to do this is open your picture in paint shop and just go to file save as and change the file type when you're about to save it, other ways would be using similar programs to do that.

As he announced details of his first season as artistic director of the Old Vic, Kevin Spacey added his voice to those who are calling for support from Arts Council England for maintaining listed commercial theatres.
Simon Gray's The Holy Terror, starring Simon Callow, is to close on 8th May. It opened at the Duke of York's on 14th April (previewing from 8th) and was booking until August.
It is the second show in succession to close at the theatre: Michael Hasting's Calico closed on 3rd April, eight weeks early.
