 25th Infantry Division Artillery
Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 25th Infantry Division Artillery was constituted into the Army of the United States on 26 August 1941 in Hawaii.
The 25th Infantry Division (Light) Division Artillery cased its colors on June 15, 2005, and as a result became the first division artillery brigade to deactivate as part of the Army’s transformation.
Some units such as Battery F, 7th Field Artillery, was to inactivate, while direct support battalions like 3rd Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment and 2nd Battalion, 11th Field Artillery Regiment were to fall directly under their supported brigades.

 The Korean War: The UN Offensive
The 1st Marine Division, which MacArthur acquired from the United States, was augmented by the 1st Provisional Marine Brigade from the Pusan Perimeter and by a Republic of Korea (ROK) Marine Corps regiment.
By nightfall the 5th Infantry’s 3d Battalion was on the hill; its 1st Battalion was pushing northwest toward another enemy position; and its 2d Battalion had captured Hill 121, one and a half miles north of Hill 268 and one mile short of Waegwan.
In the meantime, on 22 October the 24th Division, having been relieved by the 2d Division, moved northward from P’yongyang, its mission to push the North Koreans against the 187th Airborne Infantry’s blocking position, thus cutting off the enemy’s escape route and, it was hoped, rescuing prisoners of war.

 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division
The 1st Brigade, 7th Infantry Division (Light), often called the 9th Infantry Regiment (Manchus), at Fort Lewis, was redesignated as the 1st Brigade of the 25th Infantry Division (Light).
The 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, and the 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, both of which belong to I Corps at Fort Lewis, were identified in November 1999 as the first two brigades to make the transition into lighter, more mobile units capable of deploying within 96 hours.
It was composed of the 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry, the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry, the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry, the 2nd Battalion, 8th Field Artillery, and the 25th Forward Support Battalion.

In 1869 Congress eliminated twenty of the forty-five infantry regiments in the United States army.
It subsequently fought in the Philippines Insurrection until 1902, when the unit was returned to the United States.
As a result, the old Thirty-ninth and Fortieth regiments were consolidated to form the new Twenty-fifth Infantry Regiment.

On the 25th day of March, 1917, the Montana National Guard was mobilized for service and assembled at Fort William Henry Harrison, near Helena, Mont. The regiment (then known as the Second Montana Infantry, later to become the 163rd United States Infantry) had but recently returned from service on the Mexican border.
The other was duly raised and is now a United States Consul in China.
During that service those belonging to the regiment who were Masons had several times discus the advisability and desirability of petitioning the Grand Lodge of Montana for a dispensation to organize an Army or Field Lodge.
