It was in 1996 that he moved from administration and managerial roles to that of a radio presenter with his first full time on-air shift in his home town with local Southampton station 'Max fm'.
From there he moved to Orchard fm in Somerset, 2CRfm in Dorset and then on to the drivetime show in Hertfordshire with 96.6 Oasis fm.
During the early period of 1999 Andy moved back to the Drivetime show on Oasis fm which is where he can be found now.
He then moved to talkSPORT and also presented Orchard FM in Somerset.
Since then he has presented for 2CRFM in Bournemouth and at Oasis FM and Mercury FM in Hertfordshire where he was breakfast presenter and station manager.
Andy joined BFBS in the Spring of 2001 as a radio presenter and television continuity announcer, bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘multi-media'.

All this week 2CRFM listeners can call the station to get its Black thunder crew to trick or treat at their workplace, disguised in Peeks Party Store´s finest Halloween Costumes.
All sweets donated by listeners throughout the week will be given by Social Services to children´s resedential homes and families across the county and, in return, listeners get to hear their favourite songs on the radio.
Throughout the week, listeners can drop off sweets at Peeks Party Store in Christchurch with the 2CRFM Black Thunder crew collecting the sweets at the end of the week.
