  Radiothon -
Not only does 2ser play a huge role in the exposure and promotion of truly alternative music from Sydney, Australia, and around the world, it also stands alone in its commitment to covering under-reported news and current affairs, and has done so for over 28 years.
Ingrained in the culture and sound of 2ser is its commitment to social justice and political change, and it makes a concerted effort to offer a voice to those in our community that are not otherwise given the chance.
As 2ser receives no government funding, it relies on financial contributions from listeners and members of the community to continue to provide cutting edge radio.

2SER (Sydney Educational Radio) is a community radio station in Sydney, Australia, broadcasting on the frequency 107.3 FM.
The station had its origins in the burgeoning community broadcasting movement of the early 1970s when it was proposed that an educational station, based on a consortium of Sydney universities, be established.
In late 2004, the station was faced with a projected budget shortfall of up to $100,000 that financial year.

2SER is holding the annual Radiothon from October 8 to 15, 2004 and we're asking all our listeners to do their bit for the station.
We call 2SER 'Real Radio' because its radio made by everyday people from the community who are passionate about music and about what's going on in the world around them.
2SER provides access for the community to the media, both through the 100 or so volunteers we train in radio production skills each year, and in our support of local and independent musicians, artists and events.
