	Chrysalis Records - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Chrysalis was formed through a licensing deal with Chris Blackwell's Island Records based on the success of bands like Jethro Tull and Procol Harum, which were promoted by the label.
		Towards the end of the 1970s, the Chrysalis offshoot 2Tone Records brought us bands such as the Specials, the Selector, Madness and The Beat.
		The Chrysalis Records label was sold to EMI in 1991 and now the label is only used for the record releases of Robbie Williams, with catalogue and artists such as Starsailor being shifted to the main EMI brands.

		all i am saying is yes, while the toasters could be considered a 2tone band, they were not affiliated with the 2tone (2nd wave) movement in any way (and were not on 2tone records) so technically i believe they would be considered a third wave band with a 2tone sound.
		2tone is a type of ska, third wave is not.
		Just because a band wasn't on 2tone records dosnt mean they dont play 2-tone.

		With the new record label, Dammers created a logo that is still well known today in the ska world, "Walt Jabsco".
		In England, during that period the peoples' poets were 2Tone bands.

		Who, while having a record pressed, never actually released anything on the label, but even outside his withdrawn 45, he featured prominently on the label as producer, taking the reigns on both The Specials debut LP and the Nelson Mandela single 1984.
		The label was of course the brainchild of Jerry Dammers, who's intention was to create a British equivalent of Tamla or Stax, a label with it's own identity, with it's own sound.
		The Bodysnatchers released 2 45's on the label, but by the time of their second release, Ska had had its day as far as the British Charts were concerned.

		The 2Tone label, which was known for its multi-racial friendliness was accused of being a racist label, despite the fact that every band signed on at the time was multi-racial.
		Some of my earliest memories are of him and two of his friends putting records on a portable record player and dancing while I sat and watched.
