The company is the result of a 1935 merger of two entities, Fox Film Corporation founded by William Fox in 1915, and Twentieth Century Pictures, begun in 1933 by Darryl F. Zanuck, Joseph Schenck, Raymond Griffith and William Goetz.
Fox Film, with more than five-hundred theatres, was placed in receivership; a bank-mandated reorganisation propped the company up for a time, but it was clear a merger was the only way Fox Film could survive.
Ratburn announces "21st Century Rat proudly presents"; the "studio's" logo is him dressed as the Columbia Torch Lady with the text "Art is Rat Backwards...Almost.", which may be mocking the MGM motto Ars Gratia Artis.

20th Century Fox came in at number one for total summer boxoffice earnings, beating their record net from 2004 and showing everyone that the overly budgeted action flick was still the big kid in town.
The Hollywood Reporter gives us the breakdown from each of the top distributors and the films which produced the highest numbers -regardless on how good they were-.
Fox did have difficultly with a few summer flops like Kingdom of Heaven and Rebound but humongous blockbusters like Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith brought Fox well above the rest.

Not surprisingly, as with the previous three seasons things are still designed to fit snugly onto the confines of 20th century 4:3 television set screens.
As our puny audio-delivering technology has yet to catch up with 30th century trickery such as Dolby UltraDigital Prological 44,710.68, all we receive is Dolby Digital 2.0, with a wee bit of surround encodingment type stuff.
Still, dialogue is, as always, clear and non-meh inducing, and sits well within the musical creations of Christopher Tyng and the selection of classical music from 20th century composers such as Young MC, Van McCoy, KC and the Sunshine Band, Tom Jones and even Pizzicato Five.

I hope the good folks over at Fox continue producing these fine art giclee's and produce more of the images from the 2001 calendar as well as throw in some original art concepts as well.
Released at this years San Diego Comic Con by 20th Century Fox these are sure to find a great place on the walls of anybody's home.
They learned their lesson on the first set and how quickly it sold out by offering these up in a limited run of 80 prints and not the 40 that was done previously.
