Over 9000 are recorded in the phalanx at Paraitakeni; Demetrios in 314 BC had some 10000 mercenaries compared to just 2000 Macedonian foot, and had reputedly 15000 merceanries of all sorts by 302 BC, the vast majority, if not all of which, were Greeks.
Pre 315 BC Naval: Antigonos had a small fleet at Byzantium in 318 BC, including transports (seemingly small boats) filled with archers, slingers and other psiloi; the larger vessels had marines picked from the bravest of his infantry ('hypaspists').
Demetrios had 400 in 314 BC, and in 312 BC had 500 such slingers, plus 1000 archers and (possibly non-Persian) javelinmen, all possibly in addition to his 43 elephants, which had the own attached psiloi.

Voula Tsouna: " When Plato died in 347 BC, he bequeathed to his devoted disciples both a physical location in which philosophy was practised in a more or less organised manner and an intellectual legacy of extraordinary originality and richness.
It comprised philosophical writings ’the like of which had never been seen before or since’ (v), a number of methods of enquiry aiming at truth and, as John Dillon contends on the basis of Aristotle’s evidence, an oral tradition of metaphysical, ethical, and logical doctrines.
The main purpose of Dillon’s book is to examine just how members of the Old Academy interpreted, modified, or developed that model.

On a second embassy in 346 to ratify a peace Aeschines' delaying tactics caused the famous orator Demosthenes and Timarchus to accuse him of treason, a charge which he successfully rebutted in the strong extant speech Against Timarchus.
As examples of Greek oratory the speeches of Aeschines rank next to those of Demosthenes, and are important documents for the study of Athenian diplomacy and inner politics.
In 336, when Ctesiphon proposed that Demosthenes should be awarded a crown of gold for state service, Aeschines accused him of proposing something which would violate existing laws.
