Roman Emperors - DIR Livia (Wife of Augustus)
In 35 BC, Livia received her first official marks of status, the right to manage her own affairs (i.e., control her own financial resources) without a guardian and a grant of sacrosancitas, the inviolability that tribunes enjoyed; it gave her the same protection that Augustus had.
In 9 BC a second statue followed, ostensibly intended to console her on the recent death of her son Drusus and to call attention to her as a mother of important sons.
Augustus had already, in 17 BC (even before their father was dead), adopted Gaius and Lucius, the two oldest sons of Agrippa and Julia, and they were clearly intended as the princes of the new generation.

BC took a 14-0 lead -- on Ryan's 9-yard TD catch from Peterson with 10:25 left in the first quarter and Horace Dodd's 1-yard run with 12:35 left in the second -- but the Mountaineers tied it by halftime.
Despite not having to face West Virginia starting QB Rasheed Marshall (concussion), BC's secondary made sophomore wideout Chris Henry (5 catches, 132 yards) look like the second coming of Larry Fitzgerald on his touchdown catches of 37 and 32 yards from backup quarterback Charles Hales (11 of 16, 167 yards, 3 TDs).
Peterson hit Grant Adams (7 catches, 89 yards) on an 8-yard pass to cap a nine-play, 69-yard march that pulled BC within a touchdown, 35-28.

SV-BC Issue 35: 'casting a 4-state value to a 2-state value'
There are a number of places in the LRM that refer to 'casting a 4-state value to a 2-state value'.
The last sentence of the 5th paragraph in this section states: "To convert a logic value to a bit, 1 converts to 1, anything else to 0." This definition should be added to a normative section of the LRM.

Ryan Cooney took the snap for BC and strode forward to release his kick, but Xaverian's John Tunney shot through the offensive line and blocked the punt.
Xaverian punted on its first possession of the second half (the Hawks' only punt) but recovered a BC High fumble at the 50 and scored four plays later on a 26-yard Asack pass to Christopher Fox.
The results were not so good for BC High, which scored its only points on a 1-yard run by David Bartmess with 26 seconds to play.

Map of Ancient Israel - Abilene
It was given the name after its capital city, Abila, which is situated in a gorge by the river Abanah (modern Barada), to the northwest of Damascus.
Josephus calls this Abila, he Lusaniou, literally, "the Abilene of Lysanius," thus distinguishing it from other towns of the same name, and as late as the time of Ptolemy (circa 170 AD) the name of Lysanias was associated with it.
The territory of Abilene was part of the Iturean Kingdom, which was broken up when its king, Lysanias, was put to death by M. Antonius, circa 35 BC.
