  36 Ophiuchi System
36 Oph B gets no closer than about eight astronomical units, meaning a body orbiting 36 Oph A would have a stable orbit at distances as far as Mars, which is much greater than the habitable zone of the star.
36 Oph B is very similar to 36 Oph A, and has the same potential to support life.
36 Oph C has even lower chances than 36 Oph A and B because it is much dimmer, meaning a planet would have to be closer than Mercury, and would certainly be tidally locked.

Eta Ophiuchi is a close visual with an orbit of 88 years: 2.9, 3.4; presently the companion is at PA 247º and separation 0.6".
36 Ophiuchi is a binary with period of 548 years, of two equal stars: 5.1, 5.1; 148º, 4.9".
M19 is seven degrees due east of Antares (alpha Sco), or two and a half degrees west of the bright double 36 Ophiuchi (and very slightly north, less than a degree).

Example: 36 Ophiuchi is 17.7 light years from Sol, which is 5.43 parsecs, and it's apparent magnitude as viewed from Sol is 5.07.

 36 Ophiuchi 3?
This multiple star system is located about 19.5 light-years away in the southernmost part (17:15:20.98-26:36:10.19, ICRS 2000.0) of Constellation Ophiuchus, the Serpent Holder or Snake Charmer -- south of Theta Ophiuchi.
The system appears to be composed of three stars, of which Star C orbits the much closer binary pair of Stars AB.
The orbital distance where an Earth-type planet would have liquid water is centered around 0.53 AU -- just beyond the orbital distance of Mercury in the Solar System -- where the orbital period would be almost 163 days, or over a third of an Earth year.

Star System Data: 36 Ophiuchi C
A main sequence orange-red dwarf star, 36 Ophiuchi C has only about 71% of Sol's mass and diameter, and about 8.7% of its luminosity.
It orbits the 36 Ophiuchi AB pair at around 4400AU away and is a variable star.
A fast spacecraft using realspace propulsion could make the journey from 36 Ophiuchi C to 36 Ophiuchi AB in about 2 years at maximum thrust.

If we constrain the period using the mass-luminosity relation and the observed parallax, the remaining orbit parameters can be estimated from the 170 years of visual-binary observations.
In this paper, we further constrain the orbit by precise measurements of the differential radial velocities (with arbitrary zero points) of both 36 Oph A and B and the difference in radial velocity between...

Center of H.Z. This animation attempts to relate the orbits (and possible habitable zones) of Stars A and B in the 36 Ophiuchi AB system to their common center of mass.
Although the initial display shows the system's actual orbital tilt (at an inclination of 99.6°) from the visual perspective of an observer on Earth, the orbital inclination of any planet that may be discovered someday around either star would likely be different from those of the habitable zone orbits depicted here.
(At about at over 4,400 to 5,400 AUs away, 36 Ophiuchi C is too far away to depict here.)

By contrast the Gliese catalog breaks all known multiple stars, excluding those too close to be separated optically, into their components, and gives each one a magnitude.
For example, the spectral type of 36 Ophiuchi B (a double star that was merged in Hipparcos) is given as K2 III (giant), when its luminosity clearly indicates K2 V (main sequence).
Also, the star HIP 84720 (Gliese 666 A) is listed as M0 V, whereas its luminosity and color index are more consistent with a late G-type star (about G8 V).

Although many plan to move further in the future when transport permits, New Port Harcourt is now jammed to the hilt with 100,000 people rather than the 4,000 initially envisioned.
Nigeria used the New Port Harcourt colony as a pit stop for hibernators, bringing Ruiqi (26 Ophiuchi) within range of hibernation ships.
The region offers somewhat fewer good sites for power plants, and the choppy terrain interferes with the efficient laying of utility lines, but the Nigerian colonists seem to have concluded that the rock outcroppings offer shelter from the solar radiation of 36 Ophiuchi, and the colonists there need somewhat less protection from their sun.
