  Alexander I of Epirus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
362 BC - 331 BC/330 BC), also known as Alexander Molossus was a king of Epirus (343 BC/342 BC-331 BC/330 BC) of the Molossian dinasty.
In 333 BC, the same year in which Alexander the Great began his war against the Persian empire, Alexander Molossus was called by the Greek colony of Taras (Magna Graecia), to fight the Italic populations of Lucanians, Bruttii and Samnites.
In 330 BC (or earlier in 331 BC), he was defeated at Pandosia, near Cosenza, by the Lucanians and the Bruttii, and slain by a Lucanian emigrant.

In 362, in the face of the rivalry of a new Peloponnesian coalition and a resurgent Athenian empire, as well as the deaths of Apaminondas and Pelopidas, Thebes quickly slipped out of its powerful position.

After Alexander's death (323 BC), Eumenes ended up in command of a large body of Macedonian and other Greek soldiers fighting in support of Alexander's son, Alexander IV of Macedon.
In 318 BC Antigonus marched against him, and Eumenes withdrew east to join the satraps of the provinces beyond the Tigris River.
After two indecisive battles at Paraitacene (317 BC) and Gabiene (316 BC), Eumenes was betrayed by his owh soldiers to Antigonus and put to death.

Leuctra was a village of Boeotia in the territory of Thespiae, chiefly noticeable for the battle fought in its neighborhood in 371 BC between the Thebans and the Spartans and their allies.
His title to fame rests mainly on his brilliant qualities both as a strategist and as a tactician; his influence on military art in Greece was of the greatest.

Third, BRA 94 304(d) amended BC § 522(f)(1)(A) to deny the debtor power to avoid, as impairing exemptions, a judicial lien securing a support obligation to a spouse, former spouse or child.
It should also be noted that, unlike the nondischarge provision of BC § 523(a)(5), there is no exception to the assignment exception for assignments under the Social Security or to a governmental agency.

Their city was taken (335 BC) by Philip's son and successor, Alexander the Great, and leveled to the ground, and the entire surviving population was sold into slavery.
Although the city was rebuilt (315 BC) by King Cassander of Macedonia and prospered for a time, it had dwindled to a wretched village by the 1st century BC.

In 378 BC, Athens formed the Second Athenian Confederation, a league of Aegean city-states; the sole purpose of this confederation was to resist the growth of Spartan power in the Aegean Sea.
However, after Sparta had been conclusively defeated in 371 BC and Thebes just as conclusively defeated nine years later, the reason for the league evaporated.
