American combat divisions were in battle for 200 days, from the 25th of April, 1918, when the first regular division after long training in quiet sectors, entered an active sector on the Picardy front, until the signing of the armistice on 11 November 1918.
Nine divisions, destined to lead the attack, were deployed between the Meuse River and the western edge of the Argonne Forest during the night of the 25th.
Before divisions with the French were released, it became necessary for the Americans to send the 37th and 91st Divisions from the 1st Army, which was still fighting in Meuse-Argonne, to assist the 6th French Army in Flanders.

The 37th Armor Brigade was originally constituted on 18 July 1917 in the Ohio National Guard as Headquarters, 37th "Buckeye" Division.
It was reorganized and redesignated on 15 February 1968 as Headquarters, 73rd Brigade, 38th Infantry Division; and on 1 March 1977 as Headquarters, 73rd Infantry Brigade, at which point it was relieved from assignment to the 38th Infantry Division.
It was redesignated on 6 September 1992 as Headquarters, 37th Infantry Brigade.

Although the division normally consisted of just under 20,000 men, during this period of time, a total of 40,000 men were attached or assigned to the division, depending on the battle or situation, and replacements.
The objective of the 37th Division was the Munda Airfield on the other side of the island, and it was heavily fortified, with interconnecting foxhole bunkers on the rolling jungle hills surrounding the airfield.
Within 26 days the 37th Division had punched 225 miles north to complete the liberation of Luzon, although pockets of resistance remained, mostly in the mountains, until the final surrender of 60,000 Japanese troops on Sept 5th 1945, after the atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima on Aug 5th and Nagasaki on Aug 8th, 1945.

Train (less small arms section) the division was sent to the Bourmont area for training, and on Aug. 4th went into the front line in the Baccarat sector in the Vosges mountains where it trained under the 6th French Corps.
Advancing to and crossing the Escaut river the division was relieved from the front lines on November 4th and 5th and returned to Thielt for rest.
On Nov. 8th the division was transferred to the 34th French Corps and again entered the lines along the Escaut river in a sector with Syngem as its headquarters.

I think that some of the ones that I'm using were slightly modified by units from the standard shoulder patch of the entire Division.
Note: The 371st Regiment of the Ninety-third, 93rd Division was granted the "Bloody Hand" patch by the French for its action at Verdun.
Where General Pershing's report (pages 15 and 16) states "Corps" was engaged, it is assumed that all Divisions of that Corps took part in operation.
