		After four years, the first thing we needed to do was to determine whether there might be a better overall approach to the design of the preamplifier.
		While both the 380S and the 380 parts come from the same company, have similar overall characteristics, and offer better performance than the parts they replace in the earlier preamps, the more costly ones used in the Nº380S provide a further performance advantage in high frequency clarity and definition.
		There is an improvement in musical detail and "ease" in the "S" version that is directly attributable to these more costly parts.

		The only difference is purely aesthetic...they both are constructed the same with all solid woods...only, the 380S offers the Flamed Maple back and sides...either would serve you well as a solid mandolin at a tremendous value.

		It is very good at detail retrieval, and does not seem to be hiding any important detail in the recording, just casting a nice warm glow over the musical presentation.
		Bass performance is decent and quite realistic unlike the boxy hollow bass from a Sonic Frontiers Line 2, although it cannot compete against high quality solid state gear like the Levinson 380S, but the 834L comes in at about a quarter of the price of the 380S.
		The 380S is a typical Mark Levinson product - sweet sounding (almost tube like in that regard), without being overly warm, or overly bright.

		ABU DHABI — Etihad Airways yesterday said Airbus will give A380 delivery schedule to the airlines within next couple of days to put a lid on the controversy over the six months delay of the giant aircraft.
		"We ordered four A-380s with the deliveries starting from second half of 2007 but the schedule was delayed by six months to first half of 2008 due to some problems," said Geert Boven, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways.
		At present, Etihad Airways have 24 brand new aircraft, deliveries of ten more new aircraft would be made during 2007 while four A-380s would be added to the fleet in 2008.

		But against the '32, the No.380S sounded less informative, more "gray"—as if a fine screen was washing out some of the sound picture's inherent contrast; as if the system's color saturation control had been backed off a notch.
