		Burnside KY Home defense - 45 ACP or 40 S & W? I am asking for opinions on the best home defense pistol and I understand that opinions are like noses - everyone has one.
		Burnside KY Re: Home defense - 45 ACP or 40 S & W? My son came back from his 2nd tour of Iraq last year and he carried a military issued Beretta 9 mm but the first thing he did when he got back was to purchase a Kimber 45 as his personal defense weapon.
		Some are of the opinion that the 45 is more accurate at 15 yrds and is a slower moving bullet that will be less penatration of walls than a 40.The tide in the military is starting to turn to.45 cal,police and civilian preference will soon follow.
