  A question about Atonal music
I seem to have a memory of a Bartok peice that retains tonailty through extreme chromaticism, something I'll look for later.
A lot of this is made more difficult from Bartok's extensive use of modes...
I'm thinking of a peice which follows a major or minor tonality that is heavily chromatic (for some reason I keep on thinking of one of the string quartets, though I'm not sure which).

Teleman has a bunch of fun sonatas you might want to check out.
I'm playing a movement of one for my recital that's coming up, as well as a couple movements of Bartok's Romanian Dances.
Those are very fun, you should definitely look into them!
