Petit-Prince is an asteroid moon (additional info and facts about asteroid moon) that orbits the larger asteroid 45 Eugenia (additional info and facts about 45 Eugenia).
It was discovered in 1998 by astronomers at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (additional info and facts about Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope) on Mauna Kea (An active volcano on north central Hawaii Island; highest peak in the Hawaiian Islands), Hawaii (A state in the United States in the central Pacific on the Hawaiian Islands).
Petit-Prince is 13 km in diameter, compared to 45 Eugenia's 214 km.
