As usual, the content itself is not the concern of the NHS, but the 49er Problem that stems from it, and IronMan writes in with a commentary over his disgust with the "newborn" criticisms of the 49ers that should have been applied all along.
The 49er Mentality can't handle any other team getting praise, since only the 49ers are the "best ever" in their little minds.
Yes, it's pathetic and laughably transparent: instead of keeping the focus on the awful present, the media can't resist nauseating tributes to the 49ers past -- and of course spinning it into something it never was.

  49er Class
The 49er is a slightly smaller version of the Eighteen-foot skiff, but with some major differences - it is one design and a double - handed vessel.
The 49er uses a double trapeze and as the name suggests, it is 4.99 metres in length.

The '49er Rally is still creating very much of a past and the BMW Club of Northern California remembers the respected past as we travel into the exciting future.
Our Rally was first held Memorial Day 1972 and it took the name BMW '49er Rally and Tour, and for many years that name stuck but slowly the Tour part of the name faded from general use; however, even today a few still refer to it by that name.

This victory means that we will be traveling to Athens in August of this year to represent the USA at the Athens 2003 Regatta.
It also means that we are the number one ranked 49er team on the 2003 US Sailing Team.
Winning the Pre-Trials and gaining the top spot on the US Sailing Team were goals that we set nearly a year ago.
