		First, strings in 4GL are not terminated by a null character; instead, they are padded with trailing blanks to fill out their required size.

	4GL Query Concepts and Usage
		4gl queries are data manipulation operations that are used to retrieve or change data stored in the database.
		The 4gl compiler analyzes the query to see if it can use the elements of a WHERE clause, OF, USING, etc., the available indexes and key components to form brackets.
		If a lock is used, the client will have obtained locks on the extra records, which are not yet available to the 4gl - they are stored in the network buffer - and if one of them causes a deadlock, the client cannot release it, because its 4gl program isn't aware that it got it.
