		4Kids Entertainment recently announced that their net revenues fell 10% in the first quarter of 2005 compared to the first quarter of 2004, from $22.5 million to $20.3 million.
		In 4Kids' quarterly quarterly investor conference call, company CEO Al Kahn stated that the decline in revenue stems largely from a decline in licensing revenue from the Yu-Gi-Oh!
		However ratings for 4Kids TV had improved significantly in the last weeks of the quarter.

		However, because of the major censoring and episode cutting/merging that they have done, the version of One Piece that kids are watching on 4Kids TV and Cartoon Network can never have the same charisma or emotional impact as the original story that was (and continues to be) so cleverly crafted by author/artist Eiichiro Oda.
		What concerns me the most is that the producers have seen fit to completely cut whole episodes, and even whole story arcs out of the series, leaving them no choice to patch up plot holes with situations that never existed in the first place.
		I have heard all the arguments about why sacrifices have to be made, but 4Kids has really gone too far in ripping apart a good story and reshaping it for their own purposes.
