The relay of Bridgette Williams, Christina Hardeman, Shauntel Elcock and Latosha Wallace combined to run the 10th-fastest time in school history at 3:33.98 to win the race and not only earn 10 points for the team, but also automatically qualify for the national outdoor meet.
The relay's qualification was the sixth for the women on the day and eighth overall on the weekend.
The anchor of the relay, Wallace, also qualified individually as she placed second in the 400m hurdles in 58.01.

Lee was a member of the San Jose State "Speed City" relay teams which claimed numerous Relays' titles in the '60s.
At the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, Lee won a second gold medal as a member of the 4X400m relay team.
Lee also was slated to be part of the U.S. 4X400m relay team at the 1972 Olympics, but was denied a chance to run when two of his teammates, medal winners in the open 400m, where suspended for a victory stand protest.

Paula helped set an American record in the 4x400m relay (3:45:1) at the Princeton Indoor Relays and posted a time of 55:00 in the 400m dash at the University of Maryland Invitational.
In 1977, she was a member of the AIAW 4x400m Relay Championship and posted a 3:44:2 at the University of Maryland Invitational in 1978.
Her team tied a World Record and broke an American Record at the Princeton Relays with a time of 3:43:2, placed 1st at the Penn Relays (3:42:6), and won the AIWA Championship by setting an AIWA record with a time of 3:37:3.

The relay members automatically attained the honor by finishing among the Top 8, giving Amoo two awards on the day, while Pressley earned her first career All-America accolade as she was the seventh-highest finishing American in the hammer.

Not only did that foursome win the deciding relay, all four had a big hand in helping the Leopards match Lehigh point for point in the individual events.
Bosserman, a junior, may have been the most impressive of all Leopards with wins in the 4x400M and 4x100M relays to go along with an individual win in the 200M (26.26) and a second in the 400M (58.19).
