540s have always believed that any design we produced has to be rock solid - that's where the team comes in.
That means that every time you purchase a piece of 540s gear you know that we've cared as much about the quality as we have about the design.
But more than that 540s is about supporting the good things going on here in Aotearoa.

  LC 540S - LC 520
The LC 540S performs all operations in the plastic card personalization process, including embossing, either with or without indent printing, tipping, and encoding of the magnetic stripe.
Additionally, the LC 540S can be equipped with an optional feature for chip personalization, compatible with the majority of chip cards currently available on the market.
The LC 540S and the LC 520 are the only systems, which can be fed manually, one card at a time, thanks to their front feeder system, and both are ideally suited for healthcare plastic card embossing

 MORE Forums - Shimano PD-520 vs PD-540?
September 12th, 2005, 09:47 PM I believe that the difference between the 520s and 540s is that the 540s have sealed bearings.
We did a thread earlier in the year on this forum when I was switching to clipless pedals and the 540s seemed to be the pedal of choice if I was planning on sticking with SPD compatible pedals, which I was.
Why anyone buys the 540s is a mystery to me. The retention parts that hold the cleat will probably expire before the bearings.
