  Smyrna - Biocrawler
Strangers or refugees from the Ionian city of Colophon settled in the city and finally (traditionally in 688 BCE) by an uprising Smyrna passed into their hands and became the thirteenth of the Ionian city-states.
A strong fortress, the ruins of whose ancient and massive walls are still imposing, on a hill in the pass between Smyrna and Nymphi, was probably built by the Smyrnaean Ionians to command the valley of Nymphi.
Finally, Alyattes III (609–560 BCE) conquered the city and sacked it, and though Smyrna did not cease to exist, the Greek life and political unity were destroyed, and the polis was reorganized on the village system.

Solon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
B.C.E. Solon is known as one of the Seven Wise Men of Greece.
Solon returned to Athens in the 560s BC, and was associated with Peisistratus (see below), whom Aristotle describes as an extreme democrat and the leader of the Highland Party.
According to popular Athenian record, and the later histories of Plutarch and Aelian, Solon had the future Tyrant Peisistratus as an eromenos and later appointed him as a commander in the conquest of Salamis in the 590s BC, however Aristotle claims that Peisistratus would have been too young at the time.

 Athena
The earliest remains of Athena's Alean shrine date from the 12th century BCE, when she was a protecting Goddess who ruled the crops and was symbolized by the deer, bear, and pomegranate.
The progression of remains at her Tegean shrine repeat a similar construction story: first an open air altar, congruent with Minoan depictions, then by the late 700s BCE at the latest, a large stone temple was built to the west of the original altar.
She was born of the 'Third Queen' the eldest, who personified the ocean, as the yearly bath of her statue in the sea shows this annual bath probably also related to the apparent se-bath taken by the Sun at the end of each day.
