The ability of a sea turtle to migrate hundreds (and occasionally thousands) of miles from its feeding ground to its nesting beach is one of the most remarkable acts in the animal kingdom.
Once in the water, they typically swim several miles off shore, where they are caught in currents and seaweed that may carry them for years before returning to nearshore waters.

One of the most controversial infrastructure projects in Burma is the Yadana natural gas pipeline because of allegations that the GOB has committed abuses, including forced labor and forced relocations, on a project which includes several international oil companies as investors.
The pipeline is to be 36 inches in diameter throughout its 416 mile length, which includes 215 miles underwater in the Andaman Sea, 39 miles overland in Burma, and 161 miles in Thailand.
Khin Nyunt alleged that the purpose of the meeting was to plan terrorist attacks, including bombings of the Chinese and Indonesian embassies in Rangoon, and the assassination of an unnamed SLORC leader.
