 Academy's Diamond Anniversary Screening Series to Feature "Out of Africa"
Footage from the 58th Academy Awards® telecast will precede the screening, as will the Oscar-winning Animated Short Film of 1985, "Anna and Bella." The original trailer for "Platoon," the next film in the screening series, also will be featured.
Tickets may be purchased, pending availability, at a cost of $5 each for the general public and $3 for Academy members and students with a valid I.D. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Academy during regular business hours or by mail.
The Academy is located at 8949 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills.

To qualify for the 2006 awards year, a film must be released in the submitting country between October 1, 2005 and September 30, 2006 and be publicly screened in 35mm or 70mm film for at least seven consecutive days in a commercial motion picture theater.
The prizes will be awarded this Saturday, the day before the annual Academy Awards, and will be broadcast live on IFC (with a re-broadcast on AMC).
