The 253rd was attached to the 44th Infantry Division in the Sarreguemines-Riming area; the 254th was attached to the 3rd Infantry Division in the Colmar Area, and the 255th was attached to the 100th Infantry Division near Bitche.
From mid-February 1945 until the end of the war, the 63rd Infantry Division made a path of Blood and Fire from Sarreguemines through the Siegfried Line to Worms, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Gunzburg and ending in Landsberg Germany at the end of April 1945 when the division was pulled from the line for a much needed rest.
In 1967, the 63rd RTU was again tasked with the mission of providing support to the National Rifle Matches in Camp Perry, Ohio and again was assigned responsibility of command for all reserve component elements in the support unit.

Originally just know as the Royal Naval Division until it was given the number of the disbanded 2nd Northumbrian Division.
The Division was formed in Great Britain in 1914 from the excess Naval Reservists and Royal Marines.
The Division served in Belgium in 1914 then returned to England, the Division then went to Gallipoli and then to France arriving in France in May 1916.

  The 63rd Infantry Division
The 63rd Infantry Division was nicknamed the "Blood and Fire" division soon after its formation in the spring of 1943.
The 63rd Infantry Division was created in 1943 and landed in southern France in December 1944, some six months after the massive Allied invasion of western Europe on D-Day (June 6).
As the 63rd advanced farther into the Bavarian countryside, on April 29-30, 1945, it liberated several Nazi subcamps attached to the Kaufering camp complex in the Landsberg region.

The RND was one of two British divisions (along with the 29th Division) at the Gallipoli landings.
Originally the division was only required to make a diversion at Bulair in support of the main landings at Anzac Cove and Helles.

After a lengthy period of refit and training (scattered in various locations, and still short of many of the units that ordinarily made up the establishment of a Division), the Division moved to Egypt preparatory to the Gallipoli campaign.

 Sucrerie British Cemetery Graincourt-les-Havrincourt
Graincourt-les-Havrincourt was captured by the 62nd (West Riding) Division on the 20th November, 1917, and again, after a hard struggle, by the 63rd (Royal Naval) Division on the 27th September, 1918.
The cemetery was made by the 63rd Division on the 6th October, 1918.
The graves are in one long trench, almost all of whom belonged to the 63rd Division and fell in the capture of Graincourt.
