| | On 2004 Aug 23 UT, the 17 km diameter asteroid (684) Hildburg will occult a 9.5 mag star in the constellation Aquarius for observers along a path across northeastern Australia. |
| | In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 4.3 mag to 13.8 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 1.7 seconds. |
