7 Iris - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
7 Iris (eye'-ris) is one of the largest main belt asteroids.
Iris was named after the rainbow goddess Iris of Greek mythology, sister of the Harpies and messenger of the gods, especially Hera.
The surface of Iris is very bright and is probably a mixture nickel-iron metals and magnesium- and iron-silicates.

IRIS is specified by using the Extensible Markup Language Newton and Sanz Standards Track [Page 2] RFC 3981 IRIS-Core January 2005 (XML) 1.0 as described in [2], XML Schema notation as described in [4] and [5], and XML Namespaces as described in [3].
In use with IRIS, this abbreviation MUST NOT be used inside of XML instances in which the XML Schema [4] specifies the use of a URI for schema identification or where XML_NS [3] specifies the use of a URI for XML namespace identification.

The IRIS assessment for ethylbenzene (U.S. EPA, 2002a), which was entered on the database in 1987, cites effects on liver and kidney as the most sensitive endpoints following oral exposure.
Section II provides information on three aspects of the carcinogenic assessment for the substance in question: the weight-of-evidence judgment of the likelihood that the substance is a human carcinogen and quantitative estimates of risk from oral exposure and inhalation exposure.
The third form in which risk is presented is a concentration of the chemical in drinking water or air associated with cancer risks of 1 in 10,000, 1 in 100,000, or 1 in 1,000,000.

As with URIs, an IRI is defined as a sequence of characters, not as a sequence of octets.
An IRI with a scheme that is known to use domain names in ireg-name, but where the scheme definition does not allow percent-encoding for ireg-name, meets scheme-specific restrictions if either the straightforward conversion or the conversion using the ToASCII operation on ireg-name result in an URI that meets the scheme- specific restrictions.
IRI characters not expressible in the native character encoding SHOULD be escaped by using the escaping conventions of the document format if such conventions are available.

A database of IRIS entities can be serialized to file storage with XML [2] by using the IRIS defined element.
During serialization, servers and their related processes MUST leave the authority attribute empty for referrals in which the referent is an entity for which the server answers queries.

Evolutionally, the lily family is probably the basic monocotyledonous stock, its ancestors having given rise to the majority of contemporary monocots, e.g., the orchids, the palms, the iris and amaryllis families, and possibly also the grasses.
The relationships between plants of the modern lily family are not always clear, and some botanists subdivide the Liliaceae into several families or, if they take a broader view of the family, include some groups such as the Agave and Amaryllis families.
Lilies are classified in the division Magnoliophyta, class Liliopsida, order Liliales, family Liliaceae.

However, IRIS is not intended to be put to uses such as bypassing firewalls, commingling URI schemes, or any other methods that might lead to confusion between IRIS and traditional World Wide Web applications.
Finally, the use of IRIS directly over TCP, such as that specified by EPP-TCP [17], does not offer the client negotiation characteristics needed by a referral application in which a single client, in processing a query, may traverse multiple servers operating with different parameters.
In this profile identifier, the IRIS schema MUST be abbreviated according to the rules of IRIS.
