		Recording on disc as opposed to phonograph cylinder had been contemplated and experimented with by such inventors as Charles Cros, Thomas Edison, and Chichester Bell, but the first to actually develop usable disc record technology was Emil Berliner, a German working in Washington, DC, in 1884.
		All speeds of records were made in various sizes, mainly 7, 10 and 12 inches (18,20.5 and 30.5 cm aprox.) diameter; the 7-inch being most common for the 45rpm, the 10-inch for the 78 (and the first few years of 33⅓ production), and the 12-inch for the 33 from the mid 1950s on.

		Rather than the traditional white paper sleeve with a diecut hole that most 45's are generically packaged in, I sandwiched the record between two identical plastic sheets and riveted this assembly together through the record's spindle hole.
		These images are optical illusions are are not seen in the scan, however, the scan shows how the record and sheets were assembled and how they are movable.
		The record assembly was riveted by hand and the transparency sheets were also xeroxed and hand cut to size.

		No, you don't need to get it normalize and have digital silence inserted if you are making a vinyl record.
