  U.S SECOND CORPS HISTORY
The division was disposed with the 59th Brigade holding the sector and the 60th Brigade in divisional reserve.
As soon as the 30th and 27th Divisions had reached their objectives, the Australian 5th Division, on the right, and the Australian 3d Division on the left, were to pass through the 30th and 27th Divisions, respectively, and to continue the advance to a line which included the towns of Beaurevoir and Wiancourt.
The division line, on the evening of September 29, was approximately as follows: From the Knoll south to the west of Guillemont farm, thence southeastwardly to the Hindenburg line, and along this line to the division limits.

 The 25th Division , 1914-1918
On 5 July, 74th Brigade was detached for duty with 12th (Eastern) Division at La Boisselle, where it took part in an attack on Ovillers.
The Division was relieved on 11 September by 11th (Northern) Division and moved by bus to Abbeville.
The Division was instructed to hold the second line of defence, except for the poor 8th Border which was sent off to hold the Aisne bridges at Pontavert and Concevreux.

The 161st Division announced in orders issued on the 28th that the mission of the IX Corps for the following day was to push energetically in the general direction of Vouziers, about 9 kilometers north of Monthois, in order to prevent the enemy from establishing himself upon his chosen line of resistance.

 74th Reconnaissance Airplane Co. (SAL)
The 74th Reconnaissance Airplane Co. Vietnam Veterans Association is a Fraternal Veterans Organization [to be filed under IRS Code section 501(c)19].
The 74th RAC was formed from the assets of the 73rd AVN Co. (Surveillance Airplane, Light) - callsign "Backspin" and was organized on 26 March 1965 and stood down 20 March 1972.
The 74th RAC was initially assigned to the 145th Combat Aviation Battalion and in February 1968, to the 210th CAB, 12th AVN Group, 1st Aviation Brigade.

During the night of September 24-25, the 27th Division relieved the British 18th and 74th Divisions, British III Corps, 4th Army, opposite the Hindenburg Line, west of Bony.
The Australian 3rd Division prepared to renew the attack on September 30 in the zone of action of the 27th Division, and in the early morning hours of the 30th assumed command of the front.
The division was relieved on this line by the British 6th Division on October 21.

 GREENE COUNTY, OHIO IN THE REBELLION
On the organization of the army at Murfreesboro, Tennessee, February, 1863, the Seventy-Fourth was assigned to the Ten brigade (Miller), Second Division (Negley’s), Fourthteenth Army corps (Thomas’s) and during the stay of the army at that place, in guard duty on the fortifications.
On the movement toward Chattanooga, June 23 1863, Seventy-Fourth was in the column, and participated in the battle of Hoover’s Gap, June 24; Dog Gap, Georgia, September and Chickamauga, September 19th and 20th; arriving at the battles of Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge, November 24, and 25th, 1863.
The general commanding the division congratulates the officers and men of the Second and Third Brigades on the success of their splendid assault on the enemy, September 1, 1864.

Here the Division undertook to train a batch of Polish recruits, and upon the demobilization of the greater part of the old Division, it came to be known as the 5th Polish Division.
The Section retired, with the Division, through Fismes, Fère-en-Tardenois, and crossed the Marne to be relieved at Condé-en-Brie on the 31st of May, after the remaining eleven cars from the Section had taken the last of the wounded from the hospitals at Château-Thierry --- the last transportation in the town before its capture.
