Everyone accepted their awards with good grace and everything was pretty clean and obvious; only Sean Penn dropped a little dig about WMD's apart from Crystal's scripted digs.
Overall this was a good show despite the usual problems of it being too long and having absurdly long commercial breaks all through it.

So in a year when The Return of the King scooped up nominations and awards around the globe, it should be no surprise that it also did phenomenally well at the Cosmos.
In the nomination round, it received up a new record 26 nominations at the Cosmos - sweeping all seven of the positive Films Overall categories (including Best Film of 2003), nine of the thirteen positive Performance categories (with multiple nominations in several), and three of the six genre categories.
X2: X-Men United achieved a surprising 15 nominations, the second-most nominated film of the year (and the fourth most in the history of the Cosmique Movie Awards), but couldn't stand up to The Return of the King's momentum, and ultimately achieved only a single award.

Offered up in two versions (the Academy doesn't specify if it's the French or English version that's up for an award), it's a shuffling little burlesque ditty that rumbles along to a ukulele sounding acoustic guitar strum and some throbbing stand-up bass beats.
If that award goes to my pick The Return of the King, then it's a given that one of the songs from Cold Mountain will take the Oscar instead.
