The Russian bolt rifles and the Mauser rifles require either a long eye relief scope mounted on the rear sight base, or, for the Mausers, forging the bolt handle to clear a scope, or the Mosins, a new bolt handle moved forward on the locking lug.
For the Mausers and Mosins, the long eye relief scope mount is the cheapest option, generally; it depends on whether or not you are able to use a low powered scope mounted forward on the rear sight base.
Drilling and tapping the Mauser for a scope base isn't a big deal, but the Mosin is a PITA, and requires stock modification on the left side of the action.
