During execution of an LJMP, the 8051 replaces the contents of its 16-bit PC with the second and third bytes of the LJMP instruction.
This bit, A15, is output by the 8051 on its P2.7 pin.
It consists of an 8051 instruction sequencer and decoder, the three-bit XAR and associated logic, a local stack to save and restore the XAR on calls/interrupts and returns, an instruction translation circuit in the data path, synchronization circuits, address latches, and various input and output buffers.

 Intel 8051 - Definition, explanation
The Intel 8051 is a microcontroller (µC) developed by Intel in 1980 for use in embedded products and still (2005) one of the most popular microcontrollers.
A particular feature of the 8051 microcontroller is the inclusion of a boolean processing engine which allows bit-level boolean logic operations to be carried out directly and efficiently on internal registerss and RAM.
This has led to the 8051 being popular in industrial control applications and it was widely used in early programmable logic controller (PLC) designs.

The 8051 is an 8-bit microprocessor originally designed in the 1980's by Intel that has gained great popularity since its introduction.
The 8051 memory architecture includes 128 bytes of data memory that are accessible directly by its instructions.
Up to 4 Kbytes of program instructions can be stored in the internal memory of the 8051, or the 8051 can be configured to use up to 64 Kbytes of external program memory The majority of the 8051's instructions are executed within 12 clock cycles.

The 8051 has many quirks that very few people know about, but are important when you want your emulator to match exactly how the chip operates.
With our intimate knowledge of the 8051 silicon and being the inventor of the 8051 emulation technologies, we have a distinct advantage when it comes to developing emulators for new 8051 devices - it takes us a fraction of the time and resources that it takes other emulator companies.
Other 8051 companies pass your questions off to their "technical support staff", who in many cases are learning how to use the emulator just like you - and we all know what that kind of tech support is like.

The 8051 is a flexible microcontroller with a relatively large number of modes of operations.
This is because the 8051 uses ports P0 and P2 to address the external memory.
For example, if we configure the 8051 so that all interrupts are of low priority except the serial interrupt, the serial interrupt will always be able to interrupt the system, even if another interrupt is currently executing.
