RFC 2045 (rfc2045) - Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) Part One
Because RFC 822 said so little about message bodies, these documents are largely orthogonal to (rather than a revision of) RFC 822.
Since RFC 822 does not specify mechanisms for mail containing audio, video, Asian language text, or even text in most European languages, additional specifications are needed.
The current standards for the mapping of X.400 messages to RFC 822 messages specify either that X.400 non-textual material must be converted to (not encoded in) IA5Text format, or that they must be discarded, notifying the RFC 822 user that discarding has occurred.

(MIME) Part One: Format of Internet Message Bodies
The term "message", when not further qualified, means either a (complete or "top-level") RFC 822 message being transferred on a network, or a message encapsulated in a body of type "message/rfc822" or "message/partial".
Since RFC 822 was published in 1982, there has really been only one format standard for Internet messages, and there has been little perceived need to declare the format standard in use.
Note that the definition of "tspecials" is the same as the RFC 822 definition of "specials" with the addition of the three characters "/", "?", and "=", and the removal of ".".

RFC 2046 - Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) Part Two: Media Types. N. Freed, N. Borenstein.
The "partial" subtype is defined for partial RFC 822 messages, to permit the fragmented transmission of bodies that are thought to be too large to be passed through transport facilities in one piece.
However, unlike top-level RFC 822 messages, the restriction that each "message/rfc822" body must include a "From", "Date", and at least one destination header is removed and replaced with the requirement that at least one of "From", "Subject", or "Date" must be present.
RFC 2046 Media Types November 1996 It should be noted that, despite the use of the numbers "822", a "message/rfc822" entity isn't restricted to material in strict conformance to RFC822, nor are the semantics of "message/rfc822" objects restricted to the semantics defined in RFC822.

Quaker Quintolubric 822 Series   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-07)
Quaker Quintolubric 822 Series are designed for use in hydraulic applications where a high degree of lubricity and fire resistancy are required.
The Quaker Quintolubric 822 Series are available in three viscosities: ISO VG 46, 68 and 100 to meet a wide range of hydraulic requirements.
Quaker Quintolubric 822 Series are miscible and compatible with phosphate esters, provided they are not significantly degraded, and can be added to such systems as make-up, though this may compromise the properties of the Quaker Quintolubric 822 series product.

 RFC 1137 (rfc1137)
This document describes a set of address mappings which will enable interworking between systems operating RFC 822 protocols in a general manner, and those environments where transfer of RFC 822 messages restricts the character set which can be used in addresses.
When a message is transferred from full RFC 822 to restricted RFC 822, and address forms used in full RFC 822 are involved, message loss may occur (e.g., it may not be possible to return an error message).
Space is given a single character encoding, due to its (expected) frequency of use, and backslash as the RFC 822 single quote character.

This memo describes similar techniques to allow the encoding of non-ASCII text in various portions of a RFC 822 [2] message header, in a manner which is unlikely to confuse existing message handling software.
In particular, some mail relaying programs are known to (a) delete some message header fields while retaining others, (b) rearrange the order of addresses in To or Cc fields, (c) rearrange the (vertical) order of header fields, and/or (d) "wrap" message headers at different places than those in the original message.
For example, the character sequence =?iso-8859-1?q?this is some text?= would be parsed as four 'atom's, rather than as a single 'atom' (by an RFC 822 parser) or 'encoded-word' (by a parser which understands 'encoded-words').

The current standards for the mapping of X.400 messages to RFC 822 messages specify that either X.400 non-textual body parts should be converted to (not encoded in) an ASCII format, or that they should be discarded, notifying the RFC 822 user that discarding has occurred.

AnandTech: MSI StarForce 822 Retail GeForce3 64MB   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-07)
Instead MSI stated that the StarForce 822 that we looked at was "pre-production" card that found its way onto a few e-store shelves.
MSI promises that less than 1,000 of these "initial" StarForce 822 cards ever left their factory and that the card has now been replaced with a new version that promises to fix some of the issues we had with the initial StarForce 822.
We felt it was important to report on the original StarForce 822 because there are some users out there who may be in a position to buy this version of the card (remember, around 1,000 did make their way out).
